California is home to so many beautiful waterfalls!

You will find beautiful cascades along the California coast, in the mountains, and even on the edge of the driest, hottest place in the country: Death Valley.

Burney Falls is one of the prettiest waterfalls in California. It flows year-round and you can view it from a short and easy nature trail. 

McWay Falls in Big Sur creates the perfect picture postcard. It is a must-stop spot on a Highway 1 drive.

Yosemite National Park is renowned for its many spectacular falls. They look their best in the spring and early summer.

Yosemite Falls tumbles 2,425 feet down a granite cliff. The lower falls are easy to reach, but the intrepid can also hike to the top of the waterfall!

The famous Mist Trail in Yosemite offers stunning views of Vernal and Nevada Falls. It's a steep and strenuous hike, but  popular nevertheless.

If conditions are ideal, in mid-February, Horsetail Fall at Yosemite becomes a spectacular firefall at sunset.

In the Shasta-Trinity National Forest, the McCloud River creates three easy-to-access  cascades. 

In Malibu, the Escondido Falls are stunning when the water flow is powerful. The lower falls are relatively easy to reach via a hike.

At Rainbow Falls in the Devils Postpile National Monument in Mammoth Lakes, you can see rainbows in the mist on sunny days. 

Trillium Falls is a pretty cascade in the Redwood National and State Parks. The trail to reach the small cascade features old-growth redwoods and ferns.
