The 17-Mile Drive is a must-do if you are visiting Monterey or  Carmel-by-the-Sea along the Central Coast of California. It is considered one of the most scenic drives in California.

Featuring spectacular ocean views, the opportunity to spot birds and marine life, and wildflowers in season, the 17-Mile Drive runs through the Del Monte Forest of cypresses in Pebble Beach, CA.

Be sure to stop at beautiful Spanish Bay Beach, with its crescent shape and white sand. Here you can also walk the boardwalk trail along the ocean's edge.

An iconic landmark along the 17 Mile Drive is the much-photographed Lone Cypress. While other named trees along the drive have succumbed to storms, the Lone Cypress still stands proudly.

Pick a clear bright day for the drive, to enjoy stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Bring beach gear and a picnic if you want to spend a few hours!

There is a fee for the 17-Mile Drive, which is reimbursed if you eat at one of the restaurants in the resort and spend over $35.00. Motorcycles are not allowed.
